Portugal's November ended on a rough note last night, as Os Lobos crashed to a 62-6 defeat against Ulster.
Young Irish centre Darren Cave scored four tries out of the Ulstermens' ten at Ravenhill, as a tired-looking Portugal ran out of steam in their third November 'Test'.
The home side was clinical in its finishing, and led 27-6 at half-time with Cave scoring once, Mark McCrea scoring twice and Timoci Nagusa another. Niall O'Connor converted two of the tries and added a penalty.
Portugal's points came from the boot of fly-half Pedro Cabral.
Ulster moved up another gear after the break, as Cave ran in three more tries, with Neil Hanna and Ian Whitten scoring and Nagusa striking again. Ian Humphreys converted three of the tries, and O'Connor one.
