Despite a convincing 42-17 victory over the Pacific Islands on Saturday, France coach Marc Lièvremont felt his side got their tactics and approach all wrong.
Following on from a scrappy win over Italy the French were unable to find any real fluidity as they ran in five tries against the 14-man Islanders.
Leading 6-3 the Islanders lost wing Napolini Nalaga for a high and late tackle on scrum-half Jean-Baptiste Elissalde, and from there it was always going to be an uphill struggle for them.
And even though France went on to secure a comfortable victory Lièvremont was far from pleased.
"We tried to play the Fijian way, we did what we were not supposed to have done and we lost balls," he said.
"We were indisciplined and fell into the trap of playing champagne rugby.
"Like in Marseille, there were bad passes, knock-ons and a little impatience as we were trying to finish off our moves too quickly."
