Scotland's A side, marshalled by Andy Robinson, smashed an inexperienced Georgia side 69-3 at Firhill last night, with a number of players staking claims for a spot in the ailing senior Scotland side.
Kelly Brown gave a terrific display at flanker, while the front row and wide backs had far too much power and pace respectively.
Blindside flanker Richie Vernon opened the scoring after a patient build-up, but Georgia's full-back Otar Barkalaia replied with a penalty.
After that it was one-way traffic, with Max Evans beginning the rout with a stepping, weaving solo try from half-way. Further tries in the first half from Brown, Mark McMillan, and Rob Dewey made the score 31-3 at the break.
Simon Webster, Nikki Walker and Andy Henderson all scored in the third quarter as the visitors fell apart, and late tries from Scott Newlands, Henderson and a final dot-down from Vernon completed the rout.
