Georgia`s tour plunged into darkness

After suffering at the hands of Scotland A on Saturday, Georgia's second tour match against Edinburgh was abandoned on Tuesday after a power cut, which left the match in pitch darkness after 25 minutes.

At that point in the match, Edinburgh were comfortably 19-0 ahead courtesy of two tries from Ross Rennie and a score from Greig Laidlaw with David Blair adding two conversions.

But the match was then abandoned after the power cut.

In a press release, Edinburgh Rugby Club unreservedly apologised for any inconvenience caused to supporters who attended the match at Meggetland and supporters who paid for admission are advised to keep their tickets (or proof of purchase) in order to qualify for a full refund.
