Calvin Howarth: Departing the rugby arena

Viadana's Scotland A fly-half Calvin Howarth has been forced out of rugby with a knee injury.

The 32-year-old New Zealand-born pivot played for Edinburgh and Glasgow for several years before moving to the Super 10 at the start of last season and helping his side to the Italian Cup.

Howarth suffered a knee problem at the start of this season though, and sustained another injury to the same knee during his comeback, rendering the problem chronic.
